Hardgainer – Learn How To Pack On Muscle Even If You Are A Hardgainer
Are you a hardgainer? You have a naturally thin body, with a rapid fire metabolism. It seems no matter how hard you workout you cannot get muscle gains. You pound the iron, you get gains in strength, and only very small gains in size. You can start getting added growth if you are ready to make some changes in your life.
Your body is battling back against all your efforts due to your metabolism. Do not spend time cursing it, you are in an exciting position. You will not need to worry as much about getting cut as any other type of body. Now let us discuss how to start packing on the mass you really want.
First we need to discuss rest. If you are a night owl, and used to getting under 8 hours of sleep per night it is time for a change. You need to slow down your metabolism for a while and the easiest way to accomplish this is during your sleep at night. Shoot to get 8 hours of sleep every night.
The second thing you must do is learn to eat properly. While other body types may be able to eat 4 to 6 times per day and get great growth, you are going to need to eat 6 to 8 times everyday. You need to pack extra calories into your day, and make sure you get plenty of protein to feed muscle growth. You may have been focusing hard on protein and supplements, but they are not going to work for you alone. You need massive calories spread throughout your waking hours.
Think about your hardgainer body this way. You eat a meal, your fast metabolism burns through the calories in a couple hours and then turns to your muscles to keep its energy going. You cannot afford to have your body seek muscle tissue for fuel. You must be giving it plenty of calories to satisfy your furnace.
This is not an invitation to start packing your body full of empty calories. You need to focus on fresh fruits, vegetables, dairy products, pastas, and whole grain breads, along with plenty of protein sources like eggs, chicken, fish, and beef. Plan out your menu for each day, and plan where you can drop off for quick snacks or meals if you are on the road.
One thing which is crucial for you is never missing a meal. If your diet calls for 8 meals, do not choose to skip a meal as you are driving across the state. Drop through a fast food joint and grab a grilled chicken sandwich and salad and hit the road again. Keep supplement drinks with you if you cannot stop. By keeping your body fueled, while still hitting the weights at maximum effort you will turn the corner and start packing on the muscle mass you want. Being a hardgainer will not stop you from building a great body, it just takes special effort on your part.
